Approximately 18,600’ square feet, Curtain Wall systems 2 ½” x 6”, 2 ½” x 7 ½” and 2 ½” x 10 ½”, storefront systems Tri-Fab 600T and 600NT 2” x 6” front set inside glaze, aluminum doors wide style with 10” bottom rails and 8 ¼” cross rails, aluminum supplier Kawneer Company, Inc. Exterior Glass makeup PPG ¼” Solexia with Solarban #60 Low E coatings second surface over ¼” Clear and ¼” Saten fabricated by Oldcastle Glass Grand Prairie, Texas, and interior lightshelves for additional daylighting abilities manufactured by Quality Metalcrafts, LLC.

This facility was constructed as one of the first net zero educational projects in the state along with the growing needs of the district. A few of the architectural feature for this project included high performance insulated glass and aluminum systems in conjunction with new exterior wall barrier details over standard construction practices. Some design challenges with this project was the accelerated schedule and ever-changing design details as the project progressed along. The project has been featured in many architectural and design magazines since completed.
